About Me

Here is an overview of Ramy Mustafa’s life story, excluding the musical aspect of his life. If you are interested in his journey with music, you can enjoy his complete musical journey .

1982-1986:

Ramy Mustafa was born in Al Zaher neighborhood in Cairo, Egypt.
His father, Dr. Mustafa Saber, was an anesthesiologist, and his mother, Azza Khalil, was a manager at Banque Misr.
Rami’s parents noticed that he had visual impairment, and after several tests, it was confirmed that he had retinitis pigmentosa, causing him to have limited vision, perceiving only light. It was a significant shock, but their faith made them believe that there was a greater good behind it.

From an early age, his parents encouraged his musical development by exposing him to the performances of renowned singers during various activities, greatly influencing his musical taste and sense.
Since his early childhood and after his father provided him with a small piano, he would imitate what he heard from songs and advertisements.

1986-1999:

He embarked on his academic journey starting from kindergarten while maintaining his passion for music.
In 1988, he joined the El Merkez El Namouzy School for the Blind, one of the most prestigious schools for the blind in Egypt and the Arab world. He excelled both academically and musically at the school.
He also had a love for playing football with his classmates at school.

The year 1993 was the most challenging for Rami, as his father, his biggest supporter, passed away. His mother took on the responsibility of supporting him and his talent, ensuring that Rami would become a distinguished musician, and she spared all effort to achieve this goal.

In 1996, Rami ranked first in Cairo Governorate in the preparatory certificate exams and received honors from the Minister of Education, the Governor of Cairo, and several leaders.
He graduated from school in 1999, and his sole focus was to join the Music Institute or the Faculty of Music Education to pursue his dream of excelling in this field.

1999-2004:

He enrolled in the Faculty of Music Education and graduated with honors and distinction.
He caught the attention of his professors at the college because, despite the difficulty of accessing musical scores in Braille, he exerted extra effort to achieve his childhood dream of excellence.
It’s worth mentioning that he had amazing friends who made his journey at college easier, and he was keen on sharing his knowledge with them as much as he could.

2004-2012:

Ramy did not believe in a steady job and preferred freelance work. He started renting a private place where he could work on his musical projects.
Since 2009, Rami has been working as a music teacher at El Sadat Language School, where he executed numerous musical works for children and adults within the school. This experience was fruitful in his life, and he continued until 2011 when he worked as a music teacher at El Noor School for the Blind for three months before being employed at the university..

2012-Present:

After being employed at the university. , Ramغ immediately began a new phase in his academic life, pursuing his postgraduate studies. He completed his doctoral degree in 2019 from the Faculty of Music Education at Helwan University.
Currently, he works as a lecturer in the Department of Educational Music Sciences at the college, specializing in teaching musical improvisation, solfeggio, and auditory education.

Volunteer Work:

Ramy volunteers at Resala Charity Organization in Maadi Branch, specifically in the Blind Department, where he trains the mobile team. The team has represented Resala in several concerts and conferences, including:
